I have mixed feelings about church today. Testimony meeting was amazing. I love when there is a theme and correlation between everyones testimonies because it shows everyone goes through hard times and are still learning and growing in the gospel. We're all here, learning to become the best we can be. It's comforting to know we're not the odd man out, all alone. Others are right along side us learning the same lessons we are. Sunday School....probably one of the oddest forms of gospel doctrine I've ever attended. I'm not sure if I was in a chemistry class...or learning about the gospel. I did however learn the law of conservation(?) I think...and how to combine different compounds to create salt. Our teacher knew more about salt then the average human, i'm just saying. I just never heard or found what connected everything we learned about salt with the gospel. Tracie didn't even know, and Trace is the smartest person I know (room mate). you'll get to know her really well. Relief Society helped get us back on the spiritual track. I got to read a paragraph all about gratitude, and how being grateful and counting our blessings can really help us through difficult times. So I remembered how negative my last post was, which I kind of took to be more of a joke but still! That day was seriously horrible! I definitely noticed all the things going wrong & I think that if I had counted my blessings and realized all the things God blessed me with that day, then that day would have effected me very differently and more positively. So in honor thanksgiving, I decided to jump on the band wagon and blog something I'm thankful for everyday!
Day 1. My freaking amazing room mates/ BFFs
seriously, these girls are amazing, and I'm so lucky I get to be with them everyday.
Tracie, this chick is CRAY! And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Tracie is crazy fun. All the time, except she basically lives in the BYU library. I miss her when she's studying! Especially since I have nothing to study like my smarty pants room mates.
She's always there's to calm me down and listen to my guy problems. Which happens on a daily basis. She's such a good sport. She's also a twin (with another one of my Bff's..he's insane) which is neat right?!
I can talk to Trace about anything and know she'll take it seriously and give me the best advice. She understands my shopping addiction (probably, at least she pretends to understand ha) and she never complains when I wake her up at 1 AM to ask her which color of scarf I should order.
I can always count on her to go running with me when I feel the random need to get in shape. We have similar running paces so when jess leaves us in the dust we always have each other.
Love her.
Jessica has been dubbed Mom of the apartment for obvious reasons. This girl can cook. She had a whole week dedicated to all things pumpkin (heaven am i right). Pumpkin bars, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin soup, pumpkin breadsticks. Why can't every week be pumpkin week!? We also share a deep love for muddy buddies (we may or may not have just finished a whole bowl in one sitting...5 seconds ago). Its fast sunday today, so it's ok.
She's also enjoys insane amounts of running..i'm talking close to 10 miles just for fun. Watch out Jess, ur crazy is showing. She's definitely the health nut out of us 3, so she's an inspiration to us all.
She recently underwent bunion surgery and has a cast and handicapped sticker and has recently acquired the nickname handy. and she loves it.
God has blessed me with 2 of the greatest friends in the world and Im thankful for their love, their friendship, their testimonies, and individual personalities everyday.
MUAH! RABF for life.
